The Ravine WoodLIFE Project
The Ravine WoodLIFE Project is a woodland conservation partnership project working to restore ash woodlands in the Peak District in Derbyshire and the Wye Valley on the South Wales border.
Ravine woodlands are found in steep-sided limestone valleys and provide a rich habitat for a fascinating range of wildlife.
These spectacular woodlands are of international importance, having been identified as Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) under the European Community Habitats Directive and are part of the Natura 2000 network of key woodland conservation sites in Europe.
